Commissioning a Painting

My pet portraits are unique, memorable, and heartwarming. Commissioning a painting for yourself or a loved one is simple. All I need are some high quality images, and as much or as little creative input as you’d like to give me! You can choose from a variety of sizes, canvas board or stretchers, background, colours; let’s get creative!

When I painting wildlife paintings on commission, I am not wishing to simply recreate nature in the way that a photographer or filmmaker does. I work with your ideas, your inspirations and reference photos to create a painting that is unique to you. Your own little piece of wildlife for your home.

Depending on the medium and size of the painting you choose, painting time can vary from one to two weeks up to four weeks. Please also bear in mind that with oil paintings, drying time must be catered for, and this can vary considerably, so be sure to book in good time for a special occasion such as a birthday or holiday gift.

Prices for an original painting created to your specifications start at €90 and can be delivered for free anywhere in the world.

I don’t take a deposit for commissions, however, I donate 20% of the proceeds to a local animal sanctuary, shelter or organisation of your choice. Enquiries may come to cjwaterfield@gmail.com. Repeat clients will also benefit from a 20% discount.

If you would like to discuss a painting further, please do not hesitate to contact me. Enquiries may come to cjwaterfield@gmail.com
